In Andhra Pradesh $4 Bn Investment In The Electric Vehicle Segment Seeks To Attract
Andhra Pradesh is looking to the position because it is known as the lighthouse state so it attracts investments to the tune of 4 USD billion in the electric vehicles segment over the next few years. In the 1st step in this field, Andhra Pradesh’s government is holding a day-long CEO Ministerial Dialogue on Friday to frame requisite policy by eliciting views & new ideas from various stakeholders.
This is 1st initiative by a state, under the World Economic Forum Moving India network, on ‘Shaping the Future of Mobility, based on Andhra Pradesh Industries & Investment Minister Mr. Gudivada Amarnath.
This dialogue in the virtual mode will serve as a highest level platform for exploring many avenues of investments in the Electric Vehicles segment & for supporting the industry owners in developing & implementing plans & programs for meeting climate goals and including a net-zero economy.
Ministers confirmed that they are planning to expand the Electric Vehicle landscape at a next-level pace while accelerating Electric Vehicle adoption & transitioning towards clean mobility.
The 1st aim of this exercise is to position Andhra Pradesh as the lighthouse state & attract investments to the tune of 4 USD billion. Our transition to e-mobility could be a very important component in India’s drive to become carbon-neutral,” According to the Minister.
Furthermore, he said that their aim is to make AP the prime destination for the development and manufacture of batteries, generation and storage of hydrogen, manufacture of EV components, battery EVs and also fuel-cell EVs, besides charging equipment.
