DDA approves proposal on EV charging at petrol pumps, CNG stations at lesser license fee.
The DDA or the Delhi Development Authority gave approval to the proposal for the installation of an EV charging facility at petrol pumps and CNG stations in Delhi on 3 August.
EVs are becoming an essential vehicle as it helps in decreasing the level of pollution. And to promote green fuel, the DDA granted approval to set up electric vehicle charging stations on already allotted sites of DDA for petrol or diesel pump. It has also decided to levy a lesser license fee for these fuel sites/stations,” According to the DDA.
Furthermore, the Delhi Development Authority said that the license fee for the financial year 2022-23 for such sites having a size of 1,080 sqm would be ₹53,00,475 per annum for a petrol or a diesel pump alone, and Rs. 46,11,413 for CNG alone.
According to their statement, for CNG and petrol or diesel pumps, it will be ₹47,70,428 and ₹43,46,390 for a CNG plus EV site. As for a petrol pump and CNG with an Electric Vehicle facility site, the annual license fee will be Rs. 45,05,404, Rs. 50,35,451 for a petrol pump with an EV facility site, and for a gas godown, it will be ₹6,36,057, According to the Delhi Development Authority.
And apart from this proposal, Delhi Lieutenant Governor, V K Saxena, also gave approval to many other key proposals as well, including relaxing norms for owing a DDA flat by members of the economically weaker section or EWS of the society.
