Chartered Speed starts Electric Vehicle transport services in GIFT City.
Chartered Speed EV services comes with subscription options, pre-booking the seats in buses & finding a bike for travel routes.
In GIFT City, Gandhinagar, the passenger mobility service provider Chartered Speed Ltd flagged off a fleet of electric buses. The company had inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GIFT City & International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) to roll out electric mobility services for mass transit.
In order to meet the demand for public transportation for persons traveling to and from GIFT City, Chartered Speed deployed 20 electric bike services and four fully integrated electric vehicle buses as part of phase one. Over the course of 12 to 18 months, there will be 50 more buses.
On average, a fleet of ten buses & fifty electric bikes will save approximately 5.5 lakh litres of fuel while reducing carbon emissions to the tune of 1,450 tonnes, annually. Tapan Ray, Managing Director & Group CEO of GIFT City flagged off the services in presence of Pankaj Gandhi, Managing Director & CEO of Chartered Speed Ltd.
The service offers subscription options, bus seat reservations in advance, and bike route discovery. The three destinations covered by these travel services are two in Ahmedabad and one in Gandhinagar.
The commencement of the Electric Vehicle fleet has opened a new chapter in green mobility solutions. Those travelling to GIFT City will have a simple, practical, and environmentally friendly form of transportation thanks to this.
